In the end, Bees just are superior beeings or something, who knows... BUT YES; NEVER FORGET ABOUT THE RAINBOWS! And the pics are inappropriately appropriate!

Date: 2012-02-05 09:29 pm (UTC)To be fair, I think the book explained it a LOT better than the anime (that didn't explain it much at all) that the city officials were trying to create a city full of docile, hive-minded workers and BEEJESUS was more of a means to an end. (I haven't read the end yet as the translation isn't finished, but that's what I've gleaned so far.)
But still. BEES. XD

Never read the once and future king, but it's on my reading list. I did listen to Karma on the radio though. It's about a woman who dies and is reborn as an ant in the forest next to her fiancee's house. But now I'm curious and it'll skip up a few places on the list!^^
And I really think of a heap of dry needles, not a sand pile, when I think of ants. But that's just cause it's the more common variety here.

I had no idea ants built nests with needles O_o But it makes sense that they would - abundant and easy to build with. I learn something new every day.

My grandparents lived right next to a forest and we played with these heaps a LOT as children. Mostly prodding them, or shoving each other into them. Poor ants~ >-> I've liked them ever since. Bees not so much. Too many Bee jokes as a kid because of my name.

You know, I've been wondering... the mouse would probably go for the horn on the head, because with everything else it'd be impossible to reach, right? And it's sort of modeled after Nezumi, so it's probably sexy for a mouse...
